I joined the VMCI with the purpose of competing in my Mini K - hoping that soon I'd be able to compete around race tracks, autocross, motorkhana - even wild ideas of taking it in a rally! buying the Cooper S gave me a much better vehicle for competing in, even if the performance wasn't quite as good, at least there wouldn't be a problem with scrutineers picking on my copious rust holes!
